A New Experience

I had a new experience last week. I attended the foreclosure auction at the Fort Worth Courthouse on and near the steps on the side of the building. I was surprised to see so many people clustered in different groups to buy property sold for taxes due or sold because they’d been foreclosed. A small business offered food and drink for sale. My husband auctioned off a house, but no one presented cash or a cashier’s check for the amount he wanted, so he bought it at his price. Then we had to get a trustee’s deed notarized and file it at the courthouse. After I entered the front door of the courthouse, (upper left picture) they made me leave my fingernail scissors outside. I hid them behind a sign and retrieved them later.
